How to Clean Sea Water?

Seawater treatment is the process of removing potable water from the saline groundwater or seawater to produce potable water for desalination, residential areas that are subject to water stress. Today, while the natural water resources are declining, the need for clean water is increasing day by day. For this reason, demand for clean water is increasing, and businesses and municipalities are heading for alternative ways to treat seawater.

Sea Water Treatment Systems Reverse Osmosis Systems are used for the purpose of separating the highly dissolved salt molecules in seawater from the water by means of membrane technology and accordingly reducing the water conductivity value to a minimum. This process is carried out by applying pressure to the sea water and passing the sea water through the membranes.

Sea Water Treatment Systems Reverse Osmosis systems are membrane systems that operate according to the cross flow principle and do not require backwashing. Chemical washing is carried out at certain time intervals by means of membrane washing units.

Reverse osmosis method is emerging as a method that can be easily used in any kind of treatment area besides desalting process with developing technology. It is seen from the literature that reverse osmosis is a more economical method in comparison with other salt treatment methods (ion exchange, electrodialysis) in low-capacity systems. Not only in salt treatment, but also in the separation of organic substances, has a privileged technology to adjust certain cations and anion ratios. The reverse osmosis method addresses a wide range of applications due to its advantages such as its continuous and automatic operation possibility, low energy usage which is less affected by phase and temperature changes, lack of size limitation, modular design, lack of chemical additives and low initial investment cost .
